E-Signature Without a Credit Card: Invoice and Bank-Transfer Billing for B2B

Most e-signature tools assume you'll pay with a corporate card. For a lot of procurement and finance teams, that assumption is the whole problem: company policy requires paying by invoice or bank transfer, there's no card on file to give, and a self-serve "enter your card number" checkout is a non-starter before anyone even looks at the product. SignNXT has a separate path for exactly this: a plan activated by a code, with no card entry at any point.

Why "just start the free trial" doesn't solve this

It's worth being upfront about what SignNXT's standard self-serve trial actually requires, because this is where a lot of procurement-led evaluations get stuck. The regular 7-day free trial does ask for a card at signup, and it's charged automatically on day 7 unless you cancel first. That's fine for an individual evaluating the product on their own card, but it's exactly what a finance team with a no-card-on-file policy can't do. If that's your situation, the trial isn't the path you want: the activation-code path below is.

How B2B invoice and bank-transfer billing actually works

SignNXT supports B2B Activation Codes, a short code in the format SNXT-XXXX-XXXX that activates your subscription directly, without ever touching a card field.

Here's the sequence, based on how the signup flow is actually built:

  1. Talk to the team and agree a plan. Book a short call to confirm whether Starter ($10/user/month or $96/user/year) or Professional ($20/user/month or $192/user/year) fits, and how many seats you need.
  2. Pay by invoice or bank transfer, on whatever terms you've agreed. Your account manager issues an activation code tied to that plan, billing cycle, and expiry.
  3. Create your SignNXT account as normal. When you reach the Payment step of signup, there are two tabs: "Card" and "Payment code." Switch to "Payment code."
  4. Enter the code your account manager sent you. There's also an optional "Reference" field, exactly for this situation, where you can drop in a PO number or invoice reference so your finance team (and ours) can match the payment to the account later.
  5. Your workspace activates immediately on the plan, billing cycle, and expiry set by that code. No card step. No Stripe checkout. No trial clock running in the background.

The in-product copy on that screen puts it plainly: it's for anyone who's "already paid SignNXT directly" and just needs the code from their account manager to skip the card step and link the subscription right away.

What you get on an activation-code plan

An activation code doesn't put you on a stripped-down version of SignNXT, it activates whichever real plan you agreed to. AI Auto-Detect for field placement, Reports, and the audit trail are included on every plan regardless of how you pay. Choose Professional and you also get templates and mail-merge campaigns (up to 100 recipients per day per user), reusable Contacts lists, and custom branding, the same feature set a card-paying Professional customer gets, just billed the way your finance team actually works.

Who this is really for

This path exists for a specific, recognizable situation: a UAE SME, UK HR team, or school whose procurement process simply doesn't run through a corporate card, PO-based purchasing, approved-vendor invoicing, or a finance team that pays net 30 by bank transfer as a matter of policy, not preference. If that's not your situation and you're just trying SignNXT on your own, the standard 7-day trial (card required, charged on day 7) is the faster way to start. If it is your situation, don't fight the card field, ask for a code instead.

Getting set up

There's no self-service form for requesting an activation code today, issuing one happens on our side once a plan and payment are agreed, so the fastest route is a short conversation. Book a 10-minute call with the team, confirm your plan on the pricing page first if you want the numbers in front of you, and we'll walk through invoice or bank-transfer billing from there. For teams that just want to see the product itself first, our e-signature software overview is a good next stop.

FAQ

Do I need a credit card to use SignNXT?
Not if you're paying by invoice or bank transfer. SignNXT's B2B Activation Codes let you activate a plan with a code from your account manager, skipping the card step entirely. The standard self-serve 7-day trial does require a card, charged automatically on day 7 unless cancelled.
How do I get an activation code for invoice or bank-transfer billing?
Book a short call with the SignNXT team to agree a plan and payment terms. There's no self-service request form for this today, your account manager issues the code once payment is arranged, and you redeem it yourself during signup.
Where do I enter the activation code?
On the Payment step of signup, switch from the "Card" tab to the "Payment code" tab, enter the code, and optionally add a PO number or invoice reference so finance can match the payment.
Does an activation-code plan have fewer features than a card-paid plan?
No. The code activates the real plan, Starter or Professional, that you agreed to, with the same features included either way. Only which features are on the plan tier itself (not the payment method) determines what you get.
Can I switch from the free trial to invoice billing later?
Changing plans mid-trial ends the trial and charges your card immediately, so it isn't the way to move onto invoice billing. If you want to pay by invoice or bank transfer, talk to the team and set that up with an activation code instead of starting or continuing a card-based trial.
